Step-by-step instructions for every major fish finder. Find your brand below.
- 1 Insert SD card into your Garmin unit
- 2 Navigate to the Nav Info menu
- 3 Select User Data
- 4 Choose Data Transfer — ensure file type is set to .gpx
- 5 Select Merge from Card
- 6 On the left, highlight the bottom file listed
- 7 Highlight Merge from selected file
- 8 Click Select to confirm
- 9 Remove SD card when complete
- 1 Insert SD card into your unit
- 2 Press the HOME key
- 3 Select the Files tool
- 4 Under Import, choose Nav Data
- 5 Select the appropriate lakename.GPX file
- 6 Waypoints and tracks import automatically
- 7 Remove SD card when complete
- 1 Insert SD card into your unit
- 2 Press the HOME key
- 3 Select My Data
- 4 Select Import Nav Data
- 5 Select the desired .gpx file from the list
- 6 Confirm the prompt to complete the import
- 7 Remove SD card when complete
- 1 Insert SD card into your unit
- 2 When prompted with Import Navigation Data, select YES
- 3 A completion message will appear showing waypoints loaded
- 4 Remove SD card when complete
- 1 Insert SD card into your unit
- 2 Click the Pages Button
- 3 Select Files
- 4 Select the SD card slot used
- 5 Select the lakename.gpx file
- 6 Select Import
- 7 Remove SD card when complete
- 1 Insert SD card into your unit
- 2 Click the Home button
- 3 Go to Storage
- 4 Select the SD card slot used
- 5 Select the lakename.usr file
- 6 Select Import
- 7 Remove SD card when complete
Setting Up Your Digital Files
Purchased a digital download? Here's how to get your files onto an SD card.
- 1 Insert a blank SD card (32GB or smaller) into your PC
- 2 Download the provided .zip file from your order email
- 3 Unzip the file to your Downloads folder
- 4 Highlight all extracted files, right-click and select Copy
- 5 Navigate to your SD card in file explorer and Paste the files
- 6 You should see a Matrix folder plus .gpx, .usr, and .kml files on the card
- 7 Eject the SD card and follow the import steps above for your unit
