Badin Lake is a 5,350-acre impoundment of the Yadkin River in Stanly, Montgomery, Davidson and Rowan counties, backed up by Narrows Dam since 1917 and ringed by roughly 115 miles of mostly wooded, rocky shoreline in the Uwharrie Mountains. It runs about 190 feet deep at the dam and is known for largemouth and spotted bass, along with crappie, white bass, striped bass and catfish. Our breakdown marks 624 waypoints, including 249 cover and structure spots (laydowns, debris, standing trees, hard spots and saddles), 145 offshore spots and humps, 133 rock spots, 37 vegetation beds, 27 NC Wildlife fish attractors, 24 ramps and slabs and 9 ditch and drain markers, plus traced creek channels.
